Green Butterhead
Green Butterhead, also known as Boston Lettuce, receives its name from the sweet buttery flavor and delicate texture of the large, ruffled outer leaves. Cutting into the lettuce reveals a soft, folded, and blanched heart. Boston lettuce is a well-renowned Butterhead type, featuring soft and smooth, light-green leaves and big heads.

Loose Leaf Lettuce Mixes
Baby leaf lettuces are bred for their appeal at an immature stage.
As baby greens they have traits that are particularly attractive for salad mixes. The leaves are succulent and tasty, with good texture, and they come in a variety of shapes.

Green Oak Leaf
Oak Leaf lettuce is a type of Butter lettuce. Butter lettuces are known for their compact heads, their quilted leaf texture and their mellow flavor. They are also great short season varieties as well as more heat-tolerant than Crisphead lettuce.

Red and Green Botavia
Batavia lettuce resembles ordinary lettuce, but has more crinkled leaves and a wavy leaf margin. There are bright green and red-brown varieties. Actually, Batavia lettuce is a very authentic type of lettuce and the precursor of the well-known Iceberg lettuce. Batavia lettuce leaves are typically sweet and crisp.

Red or Green Leaf lettuce
Red Cross ButterHead Lettuce, (also called a bib lettuce) forms heads, but they are smaller than a crisphead type lettuce. The large, fancy, reddish heads make a stunning ornamental. Like all butterheads, the leaves loosely fold over one another. Because the inside leaves receive little light, the inner leaves are cream or “butter” colored, hence the name butterhead. The inside leaves are so tender that chewing them is almost optional.
